how much does a seattle wedding cost in 2025?
so real talk, weddings in seattle aren’t cheap. we live in a high cost of living city (hi, $18 cocktails and $5 drip coffee), so it’s no surprise that planning a wedding here comes with some sticker shock.
between inflation, rising venue fees, and vendors adjusting prices to account for future tariffs and cost increases, the average wedding budget here has been inching upward. while the cost of your dream day might be a bit more than you expected... but that doesn’t mean it’s out of reach.
whether you’re planning for 2025 or already looking toward 2026, here’s what you can expect to spend, and ways you can still create an intentional, beautiful, and joy-filled wedding day without completely breaking the bank.
so, how much does a seattle wedding cost?
based on recent data from the wedding report and what i’m seeing from real couples i work with, here’s a rough estimate depending on your guest count:
150–200 guests: $60,500 – $74,000
100–150 guests: $32,000 – $39,000
50–100 guests: $30,000 – $37,000
keep in mind—these are ballpark ranges for 2025. if you’re planning a wedding in 2026 or beyond, you’ll want to factor in at least 5% more for inflation (possibly more depending on vendor demand and tariffs on imports).
honestly, looking at the data, i’d bump up certain vendors categories even more. this report is a bit conservative when it comes to:
photography & video — most experienced photographers in seattle are in the $4k–$6k range for full day, and combo photo + video coverage can easily be $7k–$9k. that’s where my packages land, and i consider myself mid-range in the market.
dj/entertainment — some of my fave djs are closer to $4k these days, especially if they offer full lighting and coordination.
planners — day-of coordination may run you $1,500–$3,000, while partial and full planning can range from $4,000–$18,000 depending on scope and guest count.
biggest factors that affect your wedding budget
guest count is the number one thing that changes your budget. more people = more food, more drinks, more rentals, more $$$.
venue choice — event venues in seattle range from $4,000 to $17,000+ depending on the season and what's included.
photography/videography — for high-quality, experienced artists, this isn’t where you want to skimp. your memories deserve to be captured beautifully and professionally.
vendors & services — prices vary widely depending on experience and demand. it’s totally normal to see price ranges all over the map.
ways to save without sacrificing your wedding experience
you don’t have to give up the aesthetic or experience you’re dreaming of. you just have to get smart about where you splurge and where you save. here are some of my best tips:
get married off-season. november through early may is considered off-season. some vendors & venues may offer off-season discounts.
choose a weekday or sunday. saturday weddings are normally more expensive.
cut hours, not quality. instead of hiring a budget photographer, go for a shorter package with someone whose work you love (someone like me!). for example, skipping “getting ready” coverage and booking 6 hours can save you money without compromising on talent.
simplify your florals. you can totally do smaller floral installs, use intentional florals in key areas, or repurpose ceremony pieces. pair them with candles, drapery, and ambient lighting to make your space feel lush without maxing out your budget.
one of the best ways to make your budget go further is to cut the guest list and focus on quality over quantity. if that idea excites you, check out my guide to seattle elopements + micro weddings or peek through the best small wedding venues in seattle for intimate options.
final thoughts
weddings in seattle are definitely an investment, but they don’t have to be out of reach! knowing where to prioritize your budget, what numbers to expect, and how to plan with flexibility can make all the difference.
