after personally photographing 200+ weddings since 2017, i have found that every wedding is unique, so having a complimentary zoom or phone consultation to talk about the details of your day is the best way to start the process! i will personally answer any questions you might have about working with SOUND AND SEA. you can SCHEDULE that here!

2. how to book!
after our zoom or call, i will send out a proposal with a customized collection per your needs. once that is sent, you simply have to select your collection, sign the contract and pay the $1000 retainer and we are booked!

3. wedding day assistance!
we are here as a resource far beyond photographyβwhether you're looking for engagement session outfit recommendations, timeline advice, or vendor referrals - we are full of advice.
julie truly knows wedding like the back of her hand and loves to share all the tips and tricks to make your day stress free and fun!

4. communication & prep!
we provide top notch customer service from booking until completion! julie check-in's on a semi-regular basis from booking to wedding date to get to know you so we can best personalize your wedding photography.
about 3 months before the wedding we send off a detailed questionnaire to start chatting about wedding day and timeline specifics, special details, family formal shot lists, special traditions, and anything else i should know about your big day.

5. your wedding day!
it's finally here! the day the two of you say "I Do" and celebrate surrounded by your family and friends.

6. delivery time!
you can expect your photos and videos, to be delivered via an online gallery 90 days after your wedding.
julie sends over a mini-story of your entire day consisting of about 100 photos within 2 weeks to tie you over while julie carefully edits and retouches the rest of your gallery.

wedding add-onβs

add an additional hour of wedding photography to any collection above 6 hours for $400 an hour - this includes rehearsal dinner coverage and multiday coverage

recommended for weddings with a guest count above 125 ppl for julie & 100 ppl for antonio or when there are multiple locations on your day

julie shoots a few frames of film at every wedding, to add more robust film coverage is $50.00 per 36 exposure roll and must have a second photographer booked

$700 - for an hour long session at a studio in pioneer square with julie before your wedding for the ultimate gift to your partner

video services
you can add video services to any photo collection!
this is complete videography services with a professional videographer and professional sound. your video package includes includes a highlight film set to music of your choice, and separate files of your full ceremony, and toasts. drone included as schedule and weather permits.
weddings with a sound & Sea Associate
when booking with an associate team member , julie works with you on everything leading up to your wedding day and completes all post production of photos and delivery.
you still receive the full sound & sea experience, while he shows up to photograph your day.

frequently asked questions
we love your work and we're ready to book! what's the next step?
fantastic! simply contact me to schedule a consultation! to then reserve your wedding date, i will send over a proposal for the wedding collection you build. A signed contract and A non-refundable retainer of $1000 completes the booking for full day weddings! retainers for microwedding packages depend on day of week and are no more than 50% of your package price. the contract and invoices are electronic and i take credit card or bank transfer for payment. The remaining balance is broken up into 3 more payments throughout the time leading up to your wedding day or can be a customized payment plan of your own choosing! final balance is due typically 30 days before your event, but can always be extended by 30-60 days before delivery of photos and/or video.
are you licensed and insured?
absolutely! we are licensed with the state of washington and i am a member of PPA - the professional photographers of america. we carry both data insurance and limited liability.
how many photos are typically included and can we print the photos ourselves?
galleries typically include anywhere between 400 and 700 photos for a full wedding day. the exact amount varies from wedding to wedding, but we average about 75 photos per hour of shoot time. your online gallery will come loaded with fully edited high resolution images you can print anywhere, or prints can be purchased via your gallery from my professional lab. you and your family are also welcome to share your wedding photos on social media as long as you credit us.
when do you charge travel fees?
i typically add travel fees on to any wedding that has a travel time of more than 2 hours roundtrip from home in seattle, wa. fees vary depending on location so ask me for more details.
do you travel outside washington state?
we adore travel - so please inquire and letβs see what my schedule looks like! airfare & accommodation would be added as a travel fee to your package. accommodation fees are waived for austin, texas, los angeles, california, & las vegas, nevada, and much of baja california sur where julie has a lot of family & friends to stay with!
