lauren & nik's hall at fauntleroy wedding was an absolute dream to capture! their day was elegant in its simplicity, filled with love, and held at one of my favorite venues in seattle. this venue has such intimate charm, with a stunning courtyard that gives off european vibes and versatile indoor rooms that are perfect for both guest comfort and amazing photography.
a little about lauren & nik
lauren and nik are the kind of couple who just click. they’re outdoorsy and fun-loving, and they balance each other out very well. they love hiking, camping, and hanging out with their two dogs, their corgi willow and their doberman chauncey, who also played a part in their ceremony! lauren wanted something close to home and fell in love with the courtyard at fauntleroy, and i can’t blame her, because it is so stunning!
having your wedding at the hall at fauntleroy
the hall at fauntleroy is one of my favorite wedding venues in seattle. the courtyard has this lovely european vibe that makes it feel like a destination wedding right here at home. this venue can hold up to 170 people in the vashon room or up to 250 in the emerald room.
every time i shoot at the hall at fauntleroy, i fall more in love with it. the space is not only beautiful but incredibly functional for all types of weather and events. having separate rooms for dinner and dancing keeps everything flowing without the stress of room flips, and the shaded ceremony space makes for fantastic lighting for photos, all while keeping guests comfortable. whether it’s sunny or raining (it’s seattle, after all), this venue has a solution for everything.
the venue is on the smaller side, which is part of its charm! however, many of my couples take advantage of its proximity to fauntleroy park or lincoln park to get more varied portraits in a beautiful outdoor space. in this case we didn’t, to make it easier on nik’s foot, but just know it’s a beautiful option for your day!
making lemonade out of lemons
just a few days before the wedding, nik broke his foot! but lauren and nik didn’t let that slow them down. they stayed calm, rolled with the punches, and made the best of it. we worked together to keep his injury subtle in most photos, but when it did show, it added a fun and memorable touch to the day. their positive attitudes and flexibility made everything feel even more special, proving that even when things don’t go as planned, you can still have the time of your life.

lauren and nik’s day was the perfect mix of simple and elegant, surrounded by their closest family and friends (and of course, their pups!). despite nik’s broken foot, they still danced the night away and celebrated in style. the day went off without a hitch, and the photos turned out incredible! moments like these remind me why i love what i do—capturing love in all its forms, no matter what surprises life throws our way.
