kiana lodge wedding | geri & josh’s artsy summer celebration

if you’re after a wedding venue that’s lush, iconic and totally pacific northwest, then kiana lodge might just be it for you! nestled on the water in poulsbo, it’s surrounded by gardens, fragrant cedars, and that salty pnw air that makes you feel instantly at home.

and for my fellow twin peaks fans… yep, this is where they filmed! laura’s log is right here on the property. as a huge twin peaks nerd myself (i even have the tattoo to show for it), photographing a kiana lodge wedding always feels a little extra special.

why kiana lodge is such a dream wedding venue

kiana lodge is beautiful year-round. in summer, the gardens explode with color. in fall, the leaves turn and you get that cozy, golden light. in winter, the lodge itself becomes warm and inviting with wood beams and twinkly lights. every season has its own magical vibe here.

the grounds here are stunning with manicured gardens, forested trails, and a waterfront dock that makes for epic couple portraits. plus, everything is in one spot: ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception can all happen without guests ever having to leave the property.

geri & josh’s kiana lodge wedding day

geri and josh wanted their wedding to feel artsy and personal, with touches that reflected their hobbies and personalities. the venue itself is already lush with greenery and flowers, but they enhanced it with florals and decor tied to two things they love most: birds and vintage cameras.

their ceremony space looked like a garden in full bloom with rows of white chairs leading up to an arch surrounded by pinks, greens, and bursts of color. the reception tables were set with wildflower-inspired centerpieces, vintage cameras sprinkled throughout, and their seating chart featured birds instead of table numbers. every detail felt intentional and unique.

they also chose my photography package with a second shooter, which was perfect for their day. we got to cover a little bit of getting ready time and then split up to capture both candid guest moments and all the energy on the dance floor later in the night.

a party to remember

their reception inside the garden atrium was everything you could ever want. lovely twinkling lights, rustic wood beams, big windows looking out over the gardens, and tables full of friends and family. i absolutely love when the dance floor fills up, and people let loose and have fun!

for dessert, they kept it fun and true to them: a pnw-inspired cake (complete with painted mountain and tree details!) surrounded by trays of donuts. nothing says celebration like grabbing a donut before heading back to the dance floor.
