how do you choose your engagement photo location?

are there places that are special to your relationship, like where you had your first date or favorite date, or a spot you love to visit often?
what kind of vibe do you want for your photos? romantic, playful, natural, urban, etc.
if you’re planning for an outdoor engagement session, how will the weather play into it? seattle’s unpredictable, so do you need a backup indoor option, or are you ready to embrace the rain for some epic, moody shots?
what’s your favorite season? does season matter? your location may look very different depending on the season. if you’re going by the nature, do you want the trees to still be lush and green or you’re after fall foliage, for example.

for couples who love an urban vibe, pioneer square’s cobblestone streets, ivy-covered brick buildings, and old-school lampposts give it so much character. it’s historic, it’s charming, and it’s got that perfect balance of old-school and modern city energy. there’s also plenty of nearby nooks and crannies for those intimate, off-the-beaten-path shots. and there are plenty of cute local boutiques and cafes to visit while you’re at it!
